Hobie Polarized Sunglasses
|
|
Like most true visionaries, legendary sportsman,
Hobie Alter sees things differently. He always has.
In the 1950's, he saw a better way to ride waves, so
he invented the modern surfboard.
|
Ten years later,he imagined a sailboat that even a novice could have
fun on, and from that came the Hobie Cat, now the
world's most popular sailboat. Several more patents
have followed,including the Dual-E snowboarding tech-
nology, and Alter's vision has never faltered once. In
fact it has become clearer since he launched Hobie
polarized sunglasses in 1983. With Hobie polarized
sunglasses, Alter has taken the same pragmatic approach
he does with each of his products. Bottom line, Hobie
Polarized sunglasses will protect your eyes from glare,
the most concentrated beams of light the sun delivers.
Now don't you want to protect your eyes with a pair of
sunglasses with a name and background like Hobie?

* Copper *
|
|
The copper lens employs advanced lens tinting and polarized film technology
to produce a proprietary copper color that dramatically enhances contrast for
the sharpest vision possible. It absorbs blue light (a.k.a. visual noise) and
enhances primary colors. Hobie's copper lenses provides clear, accurate vision
and extremely high resolution. We would recommend this lens for driving and
everyday use in normal to bright conditions.
|
* Grey *
|
|
The original Hobie lens uses a special blend of grey and smoke to create its
proprietary tint. This lens provides natural color transmission and a soothing
visual experience. This lens could be recommended for everyday use in moderate
to bright conditions where minimal contrast enhancement is necessary.
|
* Photochromatic Copper *
|
|
The photochromatic lens uses advanced chemical and polarized filter technology
to produce a UV-sensitive lens that self-adjusts for the sharpest vision possible
in changing light conditions. This lens is recommened for everyday use in virtually
all light conditions.
|
* Sightmaster *
|
|
Designed for serious sight fishing, this lens features a special blend of yellow
and green with a hint of copper, allowing you to see the contrast between fish and
rocks below the water's surface. These lenses would be recommende for low-light,
overcast or hazy conditions. They are perfect on snow, as well as on the water.
